Fabio Scherer scored his first points in his second race in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup. In the second race in a row at the Red Bull Ring, the 22-year-old Swiss from Fach Auto Tech finished on P12. Scherer had been 20th on the grid in qualifying. And he is satisfied with his result.

“The first lap was not that easy. Although I got a better start this time. I was able to make good use of the restarts after the safety car came out twice. And the pace was very solid throughout the race. We are still a bit behind the leaders. And we have to improve. But it’s going in the right direction and it was good to experience a normal, Corona-free weekend on a race track again. I’m already looking forward to the next race at the end of July/beginning of August in Hungary.”

Before that, Scherer’s schedule includes the third round of the World Endurance Championship (WEC) in Monza with his team United Autosports from 16 to 18 July.
